Dr. Jae S. Lim, Chairman of the Board
Dr. Lim has served as Chairman of Digital Voice Systems, Inc. since the Company’s incorporation in 1988.

He received his bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He joined the M.I.T. faculty in 1978 and is currently a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.

He directs the Advanced Telecommunications and Signal Processing Group at MIT. His research interests include digital signal processing and its applications to image, video and speech processing.

Dr. Lim has contributed a number of articles to journals and conference proceedings. He is the author of the textbook, Two-Dimensional Signal and Image Processing, the editor of the reprint book Speech Enhancement, and a co-editor of the reference book, Advanced Topics in Signal Processing.

Dr. Lim is also a holder of more than 40 patents in the areas of advanced television systems and signal compression. His inventions have been used in numerous commercial products including digital television receivers.

Dr. Lim is the winner of many awards, including the Senior Award from the IEEE ASSP Society and the Harold E. Edgerton Faculty Achievement Award from MIT. He is a fellow of the IEEE, a member of the Academy of Digital Television Pioneers, and an inductee of the Consumer Technology Hall of Fame.

Dr. John C. Hardwick, President
Dr. Hardwick is a co-founder and owner of DVSI where he has served as President since the Company’s incorporation in 1988.

He received his BS, MS and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He is a member of the IEEE.

Dr. Hardwick is the author of numerous articles in the field of speech processing and a contributor to Advances in Speech Coding, published in 1991 by Kluwer Academic Publishers.

He is a recipient of two awards:

Dr. Daniel W. Griffin, Director of Research & Development Dr Griffin received his BS degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan and his MS and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from MIT. He is a member of IEEE.

He is responsible for developing the Multi-Band Excitation (MBE) vocoder, the foundation for DVSI’s MBE voice coding technology. Prior to joining DVSI, Dr. Griffin was at Lockheed Sanders where he developed

Robert Maher, Director of Sales and Marketing
Bob Maher joined DVSI in October of 1996 and is responsible for new business development and management of existing business.

Mr. Maher has over 20 years of sales and management experience. Before joining DVSI, Mr Maher was part owner and Director of Sales & Marketing for a software company specializing in personal computer applications and Regional Sales Manager for AT&T Computer Systems in Boston.

He received his BS in Marketing from Boston College and his MBA from Babson College.
