DVSI's NEXCOM Vocoder

DVSI's vocoder technology is the standard for the Federal Aviation Administration's Next Generation Air/Ground Communications program called Nexcom.

The system incorporates the latest technological advances in radio communications and will enable the FAA to multiply the use of its existing air traffic control air/ground communication channels.

It will also allow additional air traffic control sectors and new runways to be added to meet the rapid growth requirements of the nation's air traffic system. When completed, over 46,000 radios will be installed throughout the FAA system.
